Bhopal takes a fashion route

Fash fiesta: Grace and elegance was the order of the day at the youth festival, Fashion Spectrum 2013, a fashion show organised by the students of National Institute of Fashion Technology recently.
Students were seen wearing exquisite dresses designed by the designing students of the college. Dancers kept the audience entertained with their rocking performance in between the modelling sessions.With the DJ churning out some high-octane numbers, students cheered excitedly for their pals strutting the runway. We also spotted actors Ahmed Khan and Kanika Tiwari encouraging the students for their creative talent. “I must say, this is one fashion show I will never forget. The energy, stylish outfits and the entire presentation, is just commendable,” Ahmed said. Model-actor and Bhopal lad Shawar Ali was also present at the do, but he made an early exit.
Inspiring collection: While the models paraded in stylish attires, the crowd encouraged them with thunderous applause and whistles. “I’m in awe with the creative talent of NIFT. Their style is impeccable. I just love the dresses,” remarked Abhilasha Wadhwa, a student. “I like the confidence and the spirit of competition at this do. The girls are not perfect, size-zero models, still they walked the ramp with elan, which is inspiring. Even when the names of winners were being announced, their friends kept on cheering for them. I liked that,” said Azhar Ibrahim, a guest at the do.
